About Me
Romeo George, professionally known as RJ The DJ, has been entertaining audiences for nearly two decades. He began his career in 2008 as a Radio and TV Presenter with Clouds Media, one of Tanzania’s top media houses.
Born on August 16, 1988, RJ quickly grew in the industry, learning Deejaying on his own and mastering modern DJ tools. His passion and drive led him to become the official DJ for Diamond Platnumz, Tanzania’s leading music export. Together, they’ve toured across Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. RJ has also headlined solo shows in clubs, arenas, and stadiums, building a loyal fanbase.
He’s a multi-award-winning entertainer, with accolades such as “Best DJ” from the Bongo Music Awards, AEA USA, EAEA, and Zikomo Awards. Beyond music, RJ has acted in Tanzanian television, most notably as "Bill Junior" on the show Jua Kali.
In 2022, he founded Jamii Moja Foundation, where he serves as CEO, focusing on supporting underprivileged groups—especially the physically challenged, women, and children—with essentials like food, shelter, healthcare, and education.
